We will be making a gig poster today and Monday for the Shoreline Film Festival.

Goals for making a "Gig" poster

• make it eye catching
• create a buzz
• make sure the heading is noticeable
• include all the details (secondary info)
• make sure it is attractive, pleasing to the eye, yet interesting enough to catch peoples attention.
  

Here is a link to a TON of tutorials for different poster designs. You do NOT need to follow one, but I encourage you to look at them for ideas, you can always incorporate a portion of one into your own idea or combine a few for an AMAZING idea.

Emek

Mike Klay

Mike Klay is a stellar stand-out in the field of concert poster design. Saying so much with so little, is an awesome feat, and Mike Klay achieves this with ease.

Rex Ray

Rex Ray’s eclectic work in concert poster design combines a retro feel with a piercing, modern attitude that explodes from within his work and captures the attention while tickling the imagination. Rex Ray’s stimulating style can not, and should not be ignored.
